A Game: ZWMS vs. Fall Creek The Eagles came into the game against Fall Creek ready to work hard. West set the tone early, going up 14-9 at halftime. The second half was a hard fought, back and forth game that ended up being tied after 4 quarters. Overtime was needed to decide this game. Zionsville improved to 8-0 on the year, after defeating Avon North, 43-37. The Eagles came out with suffocating defense in the first half, holding Avon to just 4 points in the first quarter, and took a 22-11 lead into halftime. Avon came roaring back in the second half to pull within one possession. But some timely shots, clutch free throws, and a few stops on defense secured the win for the Eagles. The Freshman Boys basketball team traveled to Lebanon last night to battle the Tigers. The Eagles held Lebanon to 15 points for the game winning by a final score of 59-15. Cole Maxwell led the team in scoring with 20 points, followed by Kyle Reasoner scoring 11, Zach Whittham with 10 points, Alec McCarty scoring 9 points and Carson Wagoner with 3 points. The Zionsville A team continued their hot streak last Tuesday vs Brownsburg West, playing their best defensive game of the year, thus far.
