Battle for the Nest Championship Game 1 was a rematch of the Boone County tournament where West lost in the championship game. With a chip on their shoulder, West executed their game plan and came up big against Middle in the Battle For The Nest winning 53-47. After a 1-1 showing on Saturday, West hit the road to Carmel Middle School. Game 1 started out slow and West had a tough time finding any rhythm on either ends of the floor. With Carmel’s bolstering attitude, West had a difficult time getting momentum from anyone on the floor. Going into the fourth quarter West got some momentum and played hard but it was too late as Carmel had not lost the lead the whole game and finished the game out 48-37. ZWMS vs Brownsburg West Z West went into the first round of the NSC Tournament on a winning streak and feeling confident. It was a very impressive team effort that led West to beat host Avon South by 15 points. West found themselves up 17-11 at halftime thanks to some very tough defense. The second half was more of the same, with West outscoring Avon by 9 in the half to win by a final score of 39-24. The team had a balanced attack on offense, led by Ian Seward with 13 points.

Your Eagles got off to a slow start and were plagued by first quarter fouls, leading to just a 2 point lead after 1.
