NSC Tournament ZMS vs Z'West 1/18/17
The 7th grade Eagles fought through a tough game last night, but came out victorious, 38-29 against ZWest. ZWest got off to a great start and led by one at halftime. The game was back and forth for most of the game with neither team pulling ahead by more than 5 points. But ZMS scored well in the second half and eventually pulled away for the win thanks to shut down defense. Evan Jensen had a monster game, scoring 13 points to lead all scorers. Ethan Woodworth also played well offensively chipping in 8 points. Gunnar Hartwig had 5 points and several offensive rebounds. Colin Price played great defense. Carter St John came up with some big steals. Trey Firestone had a game changing basket. And Jonathan MacAbee and Brendon Wood contributed big plays on both ends of the floor.
The Eagles play Avon North Saturday at 9 am for a trip to the championship game later that morning. GO EAGLES!
