The Eagles A team started off the year strong with a win over Plainfield. Zionsville forced 6 first half turnovers to lead by 26 at halftime and never looked back. Solid second half defense and passing pushed the lead out further, eventually winning by a final score of 58-22. Adam Melliere scorched the nets with 24 points on 7/10 from three. Logan Imes was unguardable going to the rim and added 10 points. Michael Narva hit open shots to finish with 7. Braydon Snyder and Nate Horten finished with 3 baskets each.
In the B game, it was the second quarter that put the Eagles in control. They used exceptional defense and scoring to win the quarter 21-0. Evan Huber literally didn't miss a shot and ended up with 17 points in the game. He was followed by TJ Robinson with 11, and Kade Langhorst with 7 points. Nick Firebaugh provided outstanding passing, finding open teammates for easy buckets. The final score was 48-12.
The Eagles are back in action this Saturday morning versus Fall Creek for the ZMS Shootout.
