Zionsville pulled off another win last night at Lynhurst, 45-19. The Eagles hit 5 three's in the first quarter to take a 15-8 lead early. Pressure on defense then limited Lynhurst to only 4 points in the second quarter as the Eagles led 24-12 at halftime. Adam Melliere hit 5 total three's on his way to 19 points. Michael Narva also hit a couple three's to finish with 6. The rest of the scoring was very balanced as Logan Imes, Merrick Macaluso, and Nick Richart all finished with 4 points. Nate Horten had two points to go along with a free throw, AJ Jacklin had a basket, and Matthew Wleklinski had one point in the win. TJ Robinson also got a late bucket to end the game.
In the B game, it was all Eagles from the tip, once again, winning 50-22. The Eagles took a 23-14 lead into halftime, but came out with blistering defense in the third quarter, holding the opponent to only two points to blow the game open. Again, the scoring was well-rounded, with every Eagle scoring at least three points. Matthew Wleklinski was the leading scorer with 14 solid points, followed by Michael Krkoska with 8. Mac Clayton and Nick Firebaugh each had 6 points, Evan Huber had 5 points to go along with exceptional defense. Kade Langhorst and TJ Robinson both had 4 points, and AJ Jacklin finished with 3.
Next up for the Eagles is a game at Avon South on Thursday.
