Zionsville had one of its best games of the year last night, beating Avon South, 54-37. The Eagles offense was consistent, scoring at least 12 points in each quarter and so was the defense, never allowing more than 12 in a quarter. The Eagles dominated inside the paint, grabbing offensive rebounds, finishing at the rim, and attacking the basket. Nick Richart scored 2 points in the win, followed by Michael Narva with 4 second half points. Logan Imes and Nate Horten both played well, scoring 8 points each. Merrick Macaluso set a new season high with 13 points as he worked hard inside the lane. And Adam Melliere showed his versatility from two as he scored all but 5 of his 19 points from the field.
The Eagles head into next Wednesday's Battle of the Nest with a 12-3 record on the season.
