Zionsville played extremely well defensively last night and won 2 of the quarters, but eventually fell to Clay 24-30. Both teams were within one possession of each other for most of the game, but Clay was able to finish off the Eagles, who are now 14-4 on the year. Zionsville was led in scoring by Logan Imes with 12 points including two 3-pointers. Merrick Macaluso also played well establishing a low-post presence and finished the game with 10 points. Michael Narva hit a bucket to end the game with 2 points. Nate Horten, Adam Melliere, and AJ Jacklin also played well in the game on the defensive end.
In the B game, it was all Zionsville from the start as they cruised out to an 11-2 first quarter lead. They pushed to lead out to 23-7 at halftime and never looked back, winning 41-17. TJ "Messiah" Robinson was at it again, as he was the only player in the A or B game to score in all four quarters, ending the contest with a game high 16 points. All the other Eagles had at least one point including Evan Huber's free throw, Kade Langhorst's two point field goal, and Michael Krkoska's first half three pointer. Nick Firebaugh had a couple layups to end with 4 points. Mac Clayton had a deep three pointer and an acrobatic layup to finish with 5 points. And Matthew Wleklinski got into double figures with 10 points.
