Freshmen Eagles lose a close one in season opener to Harrison Raiders 31-26 ● November 19, 2018

The Zionsville Eagles Freshmen Basketball Team lost a close contest Monday night 31-26 against the Lafayette Harrison Raiders. The game was played at Lafayette Harrison and was back-and-forth the entire way as the score was 8-8 at halftime and was also tied 25-25 with one minute to go.

Evan Jensen led the Eagles with 12 points as the Eagles had five different players score. Trey Firestone, Reid Wesley, George Pappas, and Aiden Krein each contributed multiple rebounds and left the Raiders relying mostly on outside shooting. A late three-point made basket by the Raiders within the last minute was the big difference as the Eagles failed to score on the ensuing possession and were forced to foul.

Next game: At Carmel High School versus the Greyhounds; tip-off is at 6:00pm (followed by JV and Varsity)
