A Game: ZWMS @ WEBO
West extended their winning streak to 2 games by beating Western Boone on the road on Thursday evening. Your Eagles got off to a slow start and were plagued by first quarter fouls, leading to just a 2 point lead after 1. However, pressure defense and transition points pushed West to a 21-8 halftime lead. The second half was more of the same, with West at one point leading the game by over 20 points. In the end, West won the game by a final score of 38-24. The team was led by Edward Thomas with 14 points, followed by Ian Seward with 9, Seth Hogg had 6 (including a very saucy layup), Ryan Luke chipped in 4 points, Brock Maxwell had 3 and Luke Cero had a steal and bucket. Will Nobbe pressured WEBO’s best player, forcing him into tough shots throughout the game. Brendan Duncan also got into the game and had a couple really good shot attempts that went in and out like a fast food restaurant.
Next on the schedule West will play at ZMS in the Boone County Tournament on Saturday, December 8th. West will face Lebanon in the first round, and then either ZMS or WEBO in the second game.
